Valerie Murrill, CEO
Murrill Electric, LLC is a woman owned and operated company. Its majority owner, Valerie Murrill joined the company shortly after leaving her position as a Division Controller for Westinghouse Electric Company. One of her many management duties included procurement, property, accounting, budgeting, finance and information systems. Valerie is also licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Idaho, and also has her bachelor’s degree in Accounting. Valerie has an extensive background in estimating, budgeting as well as project management. Valerie brings to Murrill Electric, LLC a long-term strategic outlook, a strong sense of doing what is right for the customer and long-term development of her employees. Valerie has served 2, two year terms as a Regional Director on the National Board of the Independent Electrical Contractors (IEC). She manages the day-to-day operations of the company.
William Murrill, Founder
William Murrill, Founder, has a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Education and a dual Master’s degree from NMSU in Industrial and Electrical Engineering. His background as an evening professor of Electronic Technology at NMSU-C for 21 years has provided a high level of expertise regarding individuals who work in the electrical field. Bill has served as a sounding board for local architects and electrical engineers when requested advice on any electrical portions of a project. His extensive background in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), high voltage splicing, switchgear & electronics has provided diversity to Murrill Electric, LLC. In addition, he was chosen to consult a needle- manufacturing center in San Antonio, TX when they were having difficulty with their PLC systems. Bill has a high educational background with electrical systems, which few contracting firms have attained.
